I aim to help students build both mathematical understanding and confidence in their own problem-solving.

Mathematics Tutoring at Fort Hays State University
During my undergraduate studies at Fort Hays State University, I worked extensively with students through peer and Mathematics Department drop-in tutoring. Working with students across a range of mathematics courses shaped my approach to teaching: focusing not only on reaching an answer, but on identifying gaps in understanding, asking productive questions, and helping students develop greater independence as problem solvers.
To better understand use of the Mathematics Department's drop-in tutoring service, I developed a dashboard for tracking and visualizing tutoring activity. The dashboard summarized measures such as total visits, unique students, repeat visits, course-level usage, and patterns in tutoring demand.
