I grew up in a small town in rural Kansas and earned my B.S. in Mathematics from Fort Hays State University in 2026. 

What draws me to mathematics is the process of understanding why something works—not simply arriving at an answer. I enjoy problems that combine structure, creativity, and careful reasoning, which has led me to interests in areas such as graph theory, combinatorics, probability, and mathematical modeling. My undergraduate research introduced me to graph theory and irreversible threshold processes, but as I begin graduate study, I am excited to explore new areas of mathematics and see where my interests develop.

Teaching has also become an important part of who I am as a mathematician. Several years of tutoring showed me how rewarding it can be to help someone move from frustration or uncertainty to genuine understanding. As I begin teaching at Saint Louis University, I hope to continue improving not only as a mathematician, but also as an educator and mentor.

Outside of mathematics, I enjoy going to Cardinals games, puzzles, listening to music, cooking with my beautiful wife Hazel, and playing with our cavapoo puppies Ladybird & Iris. 

After growing up and attending college in Kansas, I now call the St. Louis area home.
